My students are very diverse and many are from minority groups. Please help me grow my diverse classroom library so my students see themselves in the stories we read together and embrace diversity every time they pick up a book. Building a strong classroom community where each student is valued and seen for exactly who they are is essential to our learning environment. Having a diverse and inclusive classroom library helps us do just that. Students see all kinds of families and people in the books we read each day allowing them to feel represented and also helping them see the benefits of diversity and inclusion. We are stronger together and when we know about each other we care about each other.
