These materials will make a world of a difference in our classroom by enhancing lessons through all academic areas with connections to real places and people. I have experienced this magazine through a language arts lesson, a social studies lesson, a math and money lesson, and teaching empathy and culture. I’ve seen my students light up when they can relate to another child across the country or from another part of the world. I’ve noticed empathy and understanding when they read about global issues. Nothing but positive outcomes come from this magazine. I have used this resource with different grade levels and have never experienced a lesson that wasn’t successful. They all tie into our Common Core standards, enhance reading and writing skills with provided lessons and they take pride and ownership in each use. It’s a wonderful teaching tool.
