My school has adopted a new cirriculum this year to go with the new ELAR standards in the state of Texas. With these changes we've been given access to many resources that would be incredibly beneficial to my bilingual students as they strive to learn English and master grade level material. However, our biggest challenge in educating our students for a technologically driven world is a lack of resources. Most of the students at my school don't have much or any money for basic school supplies like paper and pencils, let alone headphones, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve the same level of education and world preparedness as those kids in affluent areas.
