My students are beautiful people that come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds. We represent 60 different countries and serve an extremely diverse population of learners! We are the largest district just outside a major city and we see students hurting every day. Music gives them solace. Music unites them. I've seen hardened kids fall in love with life again through the power of music. My school is filled with young people who truly care about one another and we are improving and growing always! We make due with what we have. We have grit! We are proud of our students and all they have accomplished through grit! Our school needs your support! With all the funds needed to furnish the necessary supplies, there isn't much left over for the music and Fine Arts classes, but we still love our kids and we'll find a way to provide the creative outlet they need.
