I am a teacher who LOVES to read! My students would call me a NERD, and I fully embrace that title! One of the best parts of my job is helping students discover their own passion for reading. It's my goal every year to help each student in my classes find a book they love. I am also passionate about helping students unlock their own thinking and problem-solving through the use of Socratic Circles. These discussion circles are largely student-led; my participation is limited to posing thought-provoking questions to help get student brains thinking about the bigger picture, taking an idea from a physical text and applying it to the real world they live in and exploring all the options for solutions. Honestly, I am simply in love with teaching and seeing what students can do when given enough time and resources to discover their own interests and abilities.
