We use our science notebooks almost every day in class. In it, students keep work, lab notes, and reviews. We use composition books and glue to keep all of their work together and organized. Keeping a notebook of their work allows them to learn organizational skills, which will help them in college and in their future careers, as well as allow them to see all of the hard work they have done throughout the semester. The notebooks allow the students to feel more like the budding scientists they are! The composition books will have unit sections, a table of contents for each section, and many, many pages glued in. At the end of the semester, they have concrete evidence of all of their hard work.
