The best way to reinforce math and literacy skills that my students learn daily is through small group centers in the classroom where they can work together or independently. Right now, my class and my school, lack materials for students to do small group centers using manipulatives. Lack of materials means that students are forced to do the same centers many times which causes them to get bored and become off task. Doing repetitive centers will not help reinforce what they have been learning in class. These math and literacy centers will help build my classroom centers so students can have various choices when picking centers, they want to work in during small group time. They love doing small group centers; they just need the resources to do them!
