The items listed are mostly the foundational supplies for any science classroom. Students will work in groups using test tubes our school already has, but will need test tube racks to hold them during their investigation. Students will investigate yeast fermentation, aquatic plant photosynthesis, and cellular respiration. Students can also measure temperature changes during their lab investigations. Students will observe the plants they grow themselves under microscopes and use their own plants to investigate further while learning about photosynthesis and cellular respiration. This will help with student engagement because they will be taking ownership and responsibility for keeping their plants alive and thriving during the unit.
