My students are pretty awesome; they have a genuine passion for music, an interest in learning a new instrument, and the drive to do anything it takes to succeed. Growing up in an urban environment, these kids are tough, and don't always have the support system to be able to express themselves in non-violent ways. Music provides them an outlet to get in touch with their thoughts and emotions in a safe, collaborative setting.

About my class
