Most of my students are from single family households. I have 32 students. Eight are special education students, and seven are ESOL students. The area where my students reside has high poverty and violence. My school is a Title I school, and most of the students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch. My students come from households where basic needs are not met and school is not a high priority. I'm trying to get my students to a place where they keep pushing and striving regardless of their circumstances.
