My students live in a small community that is very poor in it's educational upbringing. My students range from families that have grandparents raising them to parents of English Language Learners. Often, these families are struggling to take care of themselves, much less the children in their families, especially their educational concerns. The burden of infusing every educational aspect in these children is on our school system. Family involvement in the school system is heart breaking due to the near lack of existence.
