Every year I read the book Wonder by R. J. Palacio to my fourth grade class. Learning about August's story through our read aloud, opens my students eye's to kindness. This book is my all-time favorite book and it becomes my students favorite after we read it. I would use these books to allow the students to follow along as we read as a class. As of right now they are only able to listen to the story. I want them to be able to follow along and read it with me. August's story reminds us to choose kindness and I hope I can teach my students through his story.
