First-grade students, some of who have never physically learned in a traditional setting, will learn, grow, and develop a sense of community through manipulation! These diverse learning manipulatives will be incorporated into age-appropriate lessons in which students will learn and absorb new content through moving, playing, and manipulating alongside their peers! Young learners require adequate time and space to move around, manipulate through materials and dissect as they go! Students will be offered the opportunity to also use these manipulations and other similar items in their home learning environment for extended learning as well.
