My students would love to create their own cornucopia's at Thanksgiving, detailed pumpkins for Halloween, and intricate flowers in the Spring. They are constantly drawing, and creating. However, they are left to simple paper and pencil. Students need, and love, finding ways to let their creative imaginations take flight. I want them to have more supplies to do that with. I want them to create all the things their minds produce. I want them to proudly hang their creations in the hallway and bring their friends to look at them. In helping provide these oil pastels, my students will be able to create items they will want to keep forever. I can't wait to hear their gasps of appreciation, and hear their cheers of excitement when these are added to our classroom.
