Whether they are reading to learn, or reading for enjoyment, students need a comfortable setting. Wooden chairs and square tables are not inviting for students who want to curl up with a good book. Flexible seating will turn the library into a cooperative learning center that students and adults alike will love to visit. My goal is to turn our Media Center into a special place where students and faculty can find resources, do research, work together, or just simply read. I want my students to see beyond the library, to embrace the area as a learning center and want to beg their teachers to come as often as possible. Flexible seating is the first start of reaching this goal.
