The students will brainstorm ideas of what a positive, productive student looks like. They will then sketch and plan the process in which they will create life size sculptures of students being productive in a school setting. In small groups of 4 to 5 students, they will create the sculptures in different sections using live models to create different body parts with the requested plaster gauze. This collaborative production will utilize a team building effort and create positive relationships between students. The students will then have to piece the separate parts into a gestural form that creates a socially conscious and positive attitude. They will then revise the sculpture and decorate it with a solid color or recycled materials.
