My students are all special education students with low reading levels. Most are hands-on learners. They generally find reading difficult and do not like to partake in any reading. I want to show them that reading can be a hands-on encounter. They can have fun reading and writing! The activities in the Wreck This Journal series give kids new ways to be engaged in their learning. The activities will help them with their learning. I think the kids will love to have a book that is not full of text. My hope is for the kids to be able to say they finished a book. Wreck This Journal is that book.
