I am working on fully implementing flexible seating in my classroom. I am a 6/7th grade English/Language Arts teacher and I want to make my classroom a space that is inviting and an environment that fosters a love for reading and creative writing. Last year I started with just a couple of alternate seats. This year I want to expand with more seating options for my students, but need the funds to do so. I would like to add some bean bag seating, short neolounge chairs that are the right height for a lowered table, lap desks for floor seating, and a ball chair.
