This year, my Title I school will be rolling out its 1:1 initiative. This means that each student in grades K-6 will be receiving an iPad to use in school. The purpose of these iPads is to give students access to 21st century skills that they otherwise would not receive. Although my school is going 1:1, that does not guarantee that every child will be successful under this initiative - there are still critical supplies needed to ensure students are able to use their technology to its full potential. Unfortunately, many of my students' backgrounds do not allow them the opportunity to purchase these supplies for themselves. My project focuses on providing each child with a personal set of headphones to use during the school day. This will allow them to engage with online content and instructional videos more easily.
