We live in a time now where knowing how to work a computer or iPad is an essential skill. For many of my students, sadly, they are often not given that opportunity at home. With a class set of iPads, I can provide more creative and stimulating learning experiences while also introducing students to the various avenues of technology. Taking a virtual field through the jungle can foster more interest than a simple picture can. Small group instruction is great when catering to a more focused group of students. However, a specialized online math program can provide individualized instruction along with fun games. For my age group of students, we are in the beginning stages of learning how to do research. For many students, K-2 looking through a book for information can be daunting and intimidating. Nonetheless, a kid-friendly online database can make that introduction more inviting. Lastly, there are many online literacy programs with books, phonics games, etc. that will not only help students strengthen their reading ability, but also encourage them to enjoy it! By donating to this project you will provide my students with educational opportunities that will help them succeed in their tomorrow!
