Our school is a diverse community with over 34 different languages spoken. These cultures are largely celebrated and encouraged to share with the community. Most families are middle class with both parents working in addition to low-income apartment housing. Even with very little time to do so, parents volunteer and participate where they can. They donate school supplies when they can, and want to help their children succeed. Systematic phonics instruction provides significant benefits for all students and allows them to experience reading success. I want all students to be successful in the classroom! It is my passion to teach our future how to read and question while reading in order to help foster a life long love for learning and growing! Thank you in advance for supporting my goal to be a lifelong learner and expert in my field.
