My students will benefit from these tablets in many ways. First of all it will be used in the classroom to aid my newcomers in learning the language. I have students that would benefit from using apps like Duolingo. This app would allow my students to practice new words 10-15 minutes each day and that will help them improve in both reading and writing. My ultimate goal is for my students to take ownership of their learning and share their writing, thinking routines and activities with parents through apps like ClassDojo. My students would be able to use them to share our reading journey as we travel the world through books and showcase their work. By having multiple tablets this would allow for them to take more pictures and videos to track their learning.
