These materials will provide different and exciting ways to engage students from all ages. I believe this equipment will encourage students to step out of their comfort zone, try new things and get a sense of empowerment by being successful in my lessons. With higher engagement students will be more focused not only in P.E but in the classroom as well. My goal with my students is to increase engagement and participation in extra-curricular activities, decrease behavioral problems and create an environment of success so that students will feel confident with the skills they have learned to take the activity outside of school walls and be able to put them to use well into adulthood. Providing new equipment, and a variety of activities will allow me to create after school programs and recreational play that will give students an opportunity to be involved and apart of something special. My students deserve to be successful, and be given the opportunity to find their positive outlet through physical activity. By being equipped with a variety of skills students will be more likely to try new physical activities in the future and lead life-long healthy lifestyles.
