The manipulatives will help the students be able to touch and move items while they are learning. Using the different modalities help students to better understand what they are learning. By using individual letters, they will be able to move the letters around to spell cvc words or make word families. The numbers will help them to practice addition, subtraction, and multiplication in an additional way than just the traditional paper and pencil. My students need materials taught to them in different ways and the more they practice the better the chance of retaining what they are learning. These students deserve and need the extra materials to help them achieve greatness. Social awareness for these students is also pertinent to their learning. By having more ways to play together, it will help them to come together in the classroom as well. Working and playing together is the key to success in life!!!
