My pre-k students love books and being read to. They are learning many pre-reading skills and strategies during our shared reading time, and need more opportunities to practice these skills independently. Our classroom has a class library where the children have the opportunity to choose a book of interest and "read" it, but we don't have a listening station. My students would love to be able to listen and practice pre-reading skills with their favorite book in a listening station! Because they are only 4 years old, handling equipment with wires and many buttons is very difficult for them. Your generous donation would supply wireless headphones that are much easier for them to manage independently! Not only that, but it would give my second language learners the opportunity to hear English and make connections with the pictures in the books
