I am requesting a pencil sharpener, colored copy paper and other materials for interactive notebooks to assist my students in learning, studying and organizing their thoughts and notes. Some examples of interactive notebook activities include paper foldables that serve as study tools for a variety of concepts such as vocabulary, reading comprehension, timelines and card sorting activities in which students collaborate with each other to justify why cards should be sorted in a particular way. At the end of the school year, each student will have a notebook in reading, science and social studies that will serve as a portfolio of what they have learned. Students will be able to reference their interactive notebooks throughout the school year and will hopefully, find this as a helpful resource that can be referenced year after year.
