Compassion and kindness are not limited to acts for other people; in fact, extending kindness to ourselves is an important building block to truly being self-compassionate. Students will be able to use yoga mats and meditation pillows for ten minutes during Mindful Mornings in order to help manage overwhelming emotions they may experience throughout the school day. By using mindfulness, students can attain a sense of well-being and reduce anxiety related to the school day. Students will be able to access the Mindful Morning Lab and will be able to sit quietly while tuning into their own thoughts and feelings. The goal of Mindful Mornings is for students to attain a new sense of well-being and reduce anxiety.
