The amazing group of students I work with each day qualify for Special Education services due to disabilities that adversely impact their academic success at school. In addition to this, some students struggle with managing their behavior or social skills. It is my job to meet them at their level and provide learning opportunities to help them grow academically, socially, and behaviorally. My classroom is not only a place in which these students practice their academic skills, but it is also a place of security for some of my students. In addition to academic goals, many of my students have personal behavioral and social goals they are trying to improve in order to become better friends, students, and members of their community.

About my class
