The tablets will help students receive clever, concrete content through technology. It will reinforce ideas behind the various topics I introduce. It will also bridge the cap between technology and mathematics. Having the tablets in my room will open so many possibilities to explore mathematics topics at anytime. For example, when learning about ratios and proportions, we can watch cooking videos to help us with this topic. Also, we can look at different types of menus and restaurants when studying decimals. The tablets will also be available for students for a math center on center days. Center days will be when students rotate between different activities that all revolve around one central topic. They will be able to play games to reinforce mathematic topics. Furthermore, they will be able to use them to watch videos as an extra support to their learning.
