My students love reading novels. We have done a few novel studies this year. Every time we read a novel my students are enthralled in the magic of literature. I often think to myself as I watch them read, "they could be reading the novel that makes them become a lifelong reader". They could be reading the book that makes them decide they want to be a writer, or a teacher, or the president. I chose this project because I would like to have a class set of "Charlotte's Web" novels. It is wonderful to hear the story read a loud, but it is powerful to read along. My students will love reading this book and doing rigorous comprehension projects along with it.
