In our classroom, our work spaces are flexible and students can sit wherever they focus best. Six and seven-year-olds are wiggly! They love being able to sit on the floor or stand at a table, but we also need seating which allows them to move! Flexible seating options will allow my students to wiggle and move while they work, without distracting themselves or others. Balance balls, rocking chairs, stools, wobble cushions and mats will allow my students flexibility while engaging in their activities. This will enhance our learning, make our school day even more fun, and decrease negative behaviors in our classroom. My students and I are so excited to have even more flexible choices to increase our learning!
