As a [Early Childhood] Special Education Teacher, it is my responsibility to make sure students' NEEDS are met. At this age in life, students learn how to adapt to their environment and learn through experiences and play. Sometimes students need extra supports to achieve this. The materials I have chosen will assist in their cultural development with books tailored to their ethnicity and emotions, toys and games that tailor to sensory and self-regulation, and programs that tailor to their audio and visual learning. Thinking about the project I am presenting, I have truly honed in on the phrase "every kernel pops differently'. This speaks to me because students to do not learn or think in the same way even within a general setting. We need to make sure that we as educators have the adequate tools and supports needed for ALL student success. Equity over equality.
