My second grade class is made up of a very energetic group of seven- and eight-year-old students. Some have a passion for learning, and others have not quite developed that passion yet. In our classroom, we spend a lot of time writing. The students can really begin to develop their writing skills at this level; however, this is also the time where many of them can begin to fall behind if they don't have the support they need. Our school is in a small community full of working class people.
