The majority of my students are non-verbal and rely on picture exchange to communicate. Many of the images that are used are printed and laminated so they can be used by all my students. My students complete activities such cut and paste, and grabbing and sticking images to designated areas with the use of velcro. My students also require adaptive equipment such as adaptive scissors, pencil grips, and holders to help them learn and work on projects in the classroom. My students learn best through much multi-sensory and kinesthetic activities. Donating will help supply my students with material/equipment that will help them succeed throughout the school year. "Special education doesn't mean that a student is incapable of learning, it means that they may need different supports in order to succeed."
