I teach 2nd grade for a Regional Day School Program for the Deaf in Texas. My students are deaf or hard of hearing and communicate through listening and spoken language. They work hard to close their academic gaps created by language delays. My students spend much of their academic year learning to read, understand math, and comprehend academic vocabulary. They are my heroes!
