Dear Friends and Donors, Every year I am amazed at the magic that happens at Sandra Cisneros Charter School! I am proud to be working, first in Special Ed, but now in my dream job, Sixth Grade! Last year was wonderful. Through my newly formed Academic Achievement Club, we had close to 20 students and their siblings choose to arrive a half hour early to work on Math and Reading; bridging the achievement gap. Through individualized instruction and plain old practice on any I-Pads or computers available, students in this group increased their test scores in both Math and Reading an average of 1.5 years! Additionally, some of the same students worked after school on our Drama Club's production. Their dedication to their studies and drama stagecraft was truly inspiring! Some rehearsal weeks, students would be here at 7:00 am., not leaving until Drama Club's end at 5! Thank you for your support. Patty Witte
