Our students come from a variety of backgrounds culturally and economically. It is encouraging to see these students work and play together. Taking the risk to join choir or any of the Arts encourages me to help provide them with greater opportunities for expression. When the student moves on to middle, high school and later, college, they will have the advantage of knowing band, orchestra, choir procedures and a familiarity with equipment. The students are exposed to good sound equipment, music stands and we plan to build a samba band. With choir, band, orchestra and the upcoming training, our students will learn the proper posture and rehearsal techniques used universally in every setting, whether standing or seated. Many music classrooms have a great inventory of instruments and music. That is our goal for greater learning and shared success.
