Our classroom would utilize the Ipads on a daily basis. We have two primary needs for the technology in our classroom; one exposing the kids to the current technology so when they advance to higher grades they are prepared to use the technology and secondly for our students with special needs. We are lucky enough to have a switched adapted toy for an Ipad that our student uses during therapy. Currently we do not have a Ipad for the classroom so the student is unable to use the toy unless the therapist in working with the student. Having two Ipads in the classroom allows for our general education students to use the technology during their free choice time and allows our special needs student to continue using the switched adapted toy and other communication apps to help further their education within the classroom.
