PowerPens are an exciting resource to get students engaged in their learning. These pens come with boxes of cards in all different math subject areas. When the student gets the correct answer, the pen lights up and celebrates their understanding. These PowerPens get students excited to practice their math facts, and that is exactly what I need in my classroom. We need fun ways to build motivation. When the students play, they get instant feedback and positive gratification which keeps them engaged. I am excited to find ways to keep my students excited about math and I know that this project will change the way my students practice their math fluency.
