My student population is full of kind, good-natured, smart children that thrive on texts and creative projects that interest them. The school is a high-need school and many parents work long hours, but these kids are self-motivated, except they lack funds to consistently be provided with quality enrichment. As eighth graders, they are on the threshold of adulthood, but still maintain childish qualities, which is why fostering creativity alongside literacy promotes a love of learning and ability to develop as creative thinkers.

About my class
