My students need stools so they can actively participate in our science lab activities and experiments. Currently, the stools in my classroom are borrowed from other science teachers on campus and the stools have now begun to rapidly degrade. Some stools have even fallen apart! Due to various budget cuts, my school and district do not have the funding to support this basic need of buying new stools for my students. Students are currently relying on folding chairs for their seats when they are at the lab benches in my classroom. These folding chairs are too short for students to be able to see over the lab bench! This is an incredible hindrance to my students getting a fair and effective education. Ultimately, it limits their engagement and prevents them from being active participants in science learning. Every student should be allowed a seat at the table and I would greatly appreciate your support in making this happen!
