Third grade is a big year for students and writing as they begin to write stories and essays on all kinds of topics. To ensure my students can become the best writers possible, it is important to have resources at their fingertips, including pens, highlighters, and Post-it notes. Students love grabbing the things they want and need to work on their writing - a bright pen for editing and revising, a mentor text to work on developing twin sentences, or some sticky notes to jot down glows and grows for their peers' writing. A well stocked writers workshop resource station will foster growth, creativity, and independence for my writers, and I can't wait to see them and their writing grow this year!
