Students will be using these ChromeBooks to work to prepare for upcoming FFL competitions. The finished product will allow them to practice using computer-assisted design software, as well as experience the practice of engineering and design in a competitive real-world scenarios. Most recently our events centered around the problem of delivering medication to the elderly that have trouble with commuting to pharmacies. This project would significantly help my students' understanding of the design cycle. They would see the process connect to a final product, relevant to themselves and impacting the world for better. Students can practice using design technology and experience careers related to it: architecture, graphic design, modeling, and public policy. In the end, they will be problem-solvers, empowered to take the skills and knowledge in their class to improve their lives and those of people around them.
