My school is located in Wilmington, Delaware. I teach in the inner city and is a high poverty school. Trying to find materials for innovative projects can be difficult and challenging. Every year, I try and find innovative ways to engage my scholars and build their joy for reading. I want my scholars to have access to materials that will further enhance their learning and give them further opportunities to engage and collaborate with each other in creative and innovative ways as well as work to narrow the acheivement gap. The Global Read Aloud Project will give them an opportunity to collaborate with students across the globe. It's an unique and creative approach to show students, even the most reluctant readers, the joy of reading can be experienced across the globe. "Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” – Margaret Fuller
