My students are participating in a Dual Immersion program. We are learning to read, write, and speak properly in Spanish and English. This is a daunting task, but we are up to it! We are interested in learning two languages for many reasons, including maintaining culture and connections to relatives, as well as trying to get an edge in the job market as we grow. These are all disadvantaged students, who have the same dreams as all children. They want to come to a place that is happy and safe. They want to grow up in a nurturing environment. Part of that is having access to materials that are not just the standard yellow pencil and pink eraser. They marvel at anything new and colorful, and appreciate everything teachers and the community do to give them experiences they can take home and share. Thank you for your help and understanding! Gracias de antemano por su apoyo.
