Many of my students, as the result of a specific learning disability, are individuals who lack the basic writing skills to match their conceptual understanding of a topic. Some are challenged by motor delays that make the simple act of putting pencil to paper an excruciating chore. Others are individuals who experience visual-motor impacts which make forming the letters and recording the required information neatly and accurately a challenge. Others still lack the motor-planning skills to align their writing to the proper position on the page.
