"When teachers, librarians, and parents concentrate on plans to foster a love of reading in each child, communities become caring, literate places to live." - Charlotte Huck I have the privilege of daily working to make this dream come true. My role is to develop and coach teachers in the use of best literacy practices. We study, talk, and work tirelessly to become close observers of children. We want to understand exactly what each child knows and what they need to know next in order to design purposeful and powerful instruction. We also know that it is a beautiful gift to offer our children a safe learning environment where we demonstrate a passion for reading and writing and invite them to join us on this extraordinary journey of becoming life long learners.
