Welcome to my classroom! I have the pleasure of teaching mathematics to sixth and seventh graders at an awesome middle school 30 minutes northwest of Baton Rouge. There is so much to appreciate about my current position and career. Teaching consecutive grade levels allows me to observe growth in students' math understanding and emotional development over two years instead of one. My students are delightful, inquisitive, and especially eager to use their hands; they crave math that is real and means something to their lives and the world around us. Our school has a positive culture that is reflected in the attitude of all of its players. I'm in my sixth year here and cannot foresee teaching anywhere else. My school is amazing and each passing year brings greater success of which I'm proud to be a part. Go Devall Vikings! Finally, I really appreciate sites like this. You help make the magic happen!
