The dry erase whiteboards that I am requesting will support the workshop model in my classroom. The whiteboards will allow students to discover or enhance their knowledge through sharing, reflection, and connection. Students can explain, cipher, and stimulate thinking when confronted with real world problems involving math. Whiteboards keep students engaged and allows me to correct misconceptions in real time while providing immediate feedback. Students will work as a team to share ideas and put them down on the whiteboards in a "think tank" fashion. When students have persevered and stimulated thinking in their own groups they will have the perfect platform in which to share out their thinking with their peers. This also provides an easy medium for students to go back to the "drawing board" as they learn from each other.
