The touch computer I have selected will allow my students the independence to complete academic programs on their own without an adult standing with them to help them with the mouse when selecting answers. My students have a wide range of disabilities that makes it harder for them to use a mouse. Their fine motor skills and disabilities will not allow them to use a mouse but they can touch the screen to select their answers independently. Using a computer that allows them to select answers without the help of the adults allows them to feel more at ease and explore their knowledge more freely.
